(English) Takigahara Illumination & Komatsu’s Japan Heritage Photo Competition

In line with our publicity efforts, we are holding a photo contest! Anyone is free to participate!

Themes

  • Takigahara Light Up
  • Heritage of Stage (for more details please see: here!　and here!)

Application Period

1 Feb 2019 – 10 Mar 2019 (Illumination: 14 Feb – 28 Feb)

Application Guidelines

Accepted Entries must adhere to the following guidelines:

    1. Black/White or Color
    2. 10R/4P Standard (10 x 12 in) or (10 x 14.5 in)
    3. Online Entries must be in JPEG format of about 5MB
    4. Up to 5 entries per person

Standard

  • 1 x Kutaniyaki worth　¥100 000
  • 3 x Pair of tickets for a stay in Awazu Onsen (worth ¥50 000)
  • 10 x Komatsu local delicacies worth ¥3000

Instagram

  • 1 x Kutaniyaki worth　¥100 000
  • 2 x Pair of tickets for a stay in Awazu Onsen (worth ¥30 000)
  • 10 x Komatsu local delicacies worth ¥2000

Details

  1. This contest is open to all, there are no restrictions on professional/amateur photographers, current residence, age, gender etc.
  2. The final product sent in must be taken by the applicant themselves, and must hold all the rights for use.
  3. The photo must have been taken between April 1st, 2016 and March 10th, 2019.
    (Submitted photos, even non-winning entries, may be used in publicity materials for the city, including displays, printed matter and on websites)

Terms and Conditions

By entering this competition, you will be agreeing to the following.

  • The final decision for this competition will be made by Komatsu City
  • Photos submitted to this contest should not have been posted publicly before or mimic other designs. Submitted photos should not have won a prior competition. (Photos submitted to previous competitions but did not win, published pictures not used for commercial purposes and photos posted on personal sites are permitted)
  • Each person is allowed to submit up to 5 entries (1 entry = 1 image). However, please refrain from sending in similar looking photos.
  • Composite images,collages, photo manipulation are not allowed
  • Photos featuring people must have their permission obtained. In the event that the person photographed complains, we will not be able to be held accountable.
  • Submitted phots will not be returned.
  • Photos that might be might deemed offensive will be rejected
  • For Instagram entries, entries on accounts that are deleted during the application period, made private or deleted will not be allowed.
  • Instagram users below 20 must obtain the permission of their legal guardians to participate.
  • There is no application fee. Applicants will not be reimbursed for the costs incurred during photo taking.
